Emerging masters

Elementary School Celebration of the Arts!!!

 

The opening night schedule:

May 1, 2008: Oxbow, Baker, Johnson, Apollo, Highland Tr, Brooks, Heritage

May 2, 2008: Country Oaks Elementary, Lakewood, Kurtz YR&TR, Highland YR, Spring Mills

HVCA will be providing refreshments and live music from local young musicians.

Time: 6:00-8:00p.m.

 

Huron Valley Schools Elementary Art Department in partnership with HVCA is honored to showcase art
work from students from all of our eleven elementary schools. This exhibit is the culmination of a years worth of creativity on behalf of both our art teachers and our students. There will be a wide variety of art on display, from the elements and principals of art, to realism to abstraction, to world cultures and using a variety of mediums. Both two dimensional and three dimensional art work will be on display-- about
250 works of art in all!

Village Fine Arts Association Show

This active, talented group produces work in all media -- from fiber to paint to paper and everything in between.  This group has over 100 members actively creating art.  This is always a lively exhibit and especially lively opening reception!  Join us on Friday, June 6, from 7-9 p.m. for food, music and fun!

Digital Explorations

 

 

Opening reception with electronic music - Friday, July 4, 2008,  from 7-9 pm.

 

All digital art show with the theme

"Urban Nomad".

Non-juried, cash prizes, artist-friendly

entry fee of $20.

 Send us your 8 x 10 digital photograph and we will frame and display.

4 categories of awards: best interpretation of theme, most artistic, pushing technology the furthest, most beautiful.

Deadline for emailed entries is June 1, 2008.

It Grows On Trees II

This exhibit features creative woodwork made from ash trees and other local, undervalued or salvaged timber.  This juried exhibit and competition is the 2nd annual show by woodworkers throughout Michigan.  HVCA is one of three locations this show will travel to in Michigan.  The opening reception will be Friday, August 1, from 7-9 p.m. with live music and refreshments.
