PAN develops professional services for a broad array of individuals and organizations engaged in the diverse field of public art. Trujillo is the recipient of the Whole Thinking leadership development retreat that is designed to deepen your connection to land, relationship building, working with and across difference, creativity, story, dialogue, and awareness practice. She is the recipient of the 2009 Kresge Artist Fellowship, which provides $25,000 aimed at developing and supporting individual artists, arts and cultural organizations, and arts-infrastructure groups. Trujillo is the recipient of the 2009 Joyce Foundation Emerging Leaders of Color Fellowship and a Michigan Educational Grant.
Most recently, Trujillo worked as the Community Impact Manager for Creative Many of Michigan to design and implement the Resonant Detroit Core grant, Resonant Detroit Seed grant, and grow and maintain the Fiscal Sponsorship program. These programs were designed to build and sustain equitable relationships and partnerships with artists, creative practitioners, organizations, community partners, support individuals and organizations working at the intersection of social justice, creative work, and connection to place. Trujillo worked as the Curator of Fine and Performing Arts at the Detroit Zoological Society where she planned and implemented formal and informal visual and performing arts programs, exhibits, and performances. Prior to that, she was one of the Founding Directors for community+public arts: DETROIT, an initiative that brings community-driven public art projects to six underserved Detroit neighborhoods. Trujillo received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors and a minor in Art History from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. She has also received awards for her mixed media works from Burren College of Art and the College for Creative Studies. She has exhibited locally at the Pioneer Building, Susanne Hilberry Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and internationally at Muria Art Gallery in Kinvara, Ireland, Burren College of Art Gallery in Ballyvaughan, Ireland, in Pont-Aven, France, and at Taller Galleria Fort in Barcelona, Spain.
